MHTs
An MHT is a webpage where the data for the pictures is included in the same file as the webpage. It is very useful for making Help files and other documents more conveniently. However, the only browser which can currently display an MHT file is the Microsoft Internet Explorer. IE can also save MHT files, but they are not as complete as those saved by the howsoft Webpage Editor. If you save your MHT from IE and the picture files to be included are found on the HD rather than the Internet, IE will not include the picture data: instead, it will simply provide linking paths to the HD picture files in the MHT. In contrast, WebEd will always convert the picture data and include it in the MHT, regardless of its source. Thus, WebEd MHTs can be transferred to the HD of another computer as a single file, and the pictures will be shown successfully.

Use the "File\Export as MHT" menu to make an MHT. Please note that if you wish to edit an existing MHT using WebEd, it must have been created by WebEd. WebEd cannot edit an MHT created by Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Picture file data is translated into "Base64" coding for inclusion in the MHT. You can see this using a text editor. In fact, an MHT is nothing more than an e-mail, but for security reasons you cannot send it using an e-mail program.
